Hi! I'm Taylor Ellory, and I write books about messy girls, mental health, and murder. I'm a full-time writer and freelance editor based out of Canada. I'm also a gamer, rock climber, iced coffee enjoyer, and lizard keeper.🦎 When I'm not writing, you can find me playing Magic the Gathering, designing book covers, or listening to extremely chill indie rock at the gym.

Under the penname Taylor Hale, I wrote on Wattpad for years and gained over 26.7k followers and nearly ten million views across multiple web novels written for teens. I received my first traditional publishing deal when I was twenty-four, in 2019. THE SUMMER I DROWNED, a YA psychological thriller, was published by Wattpad Books in 2020 and named one of the Ontario Library Association's best bets of 2020. The UK rights were sold to Penguin Random House.

In 2020, my original story THE LAST PLACE TO HIDE, a NA mystery, went into development with CBC to become an original digital series for CBC gem. I worked alongside iThentic's Lisa Baylin (SAVE ME) and Meredith Vuchnich (BEANS) and crafted a pilot episode for the series. I'm also a member of the Writer's Guild of Canada.

In 2023, I signed with a literary agent and shifted my focus to my traditional publishing goals, where I am working on multiple YA mystery/thriller/horrors. I can't wait to share them with you!
